Now I can see dbus-update-activation-environment: setting LANG=C.UTF-8 in the .xsession-errors file. > Does ibus/im-config still mess up your keyboard configuration? Yes, still the same issue. But if I add "sleep 3" in my .xsession file before executing xkbcomp, then the issue disappears.
