I was able to launch GNOME/Xorg finally[1] and Praat works there just
fine. The problem only happens with GNOME/Wayland. Are you able to
reproduce with GNOME/Wayland?
Other GTK3 programs on GNOME/Wayland seem to work OK, e.g. I tried Totem
/ Video player. Maybe Praat has some X11 specific code that is now
causing trouble?
Thank you for this followup. I will eventually try Praat on
Gnome/Wayland to see if I can reproduce this bug.
