And yet, this is the first time somebody ever reported this feature
request in Debian.

That would be against Debian policy. The PHP already gets a preferential
treatment since stable Debian gets new upstream releases, but changing
the configuration options within the stable release would be very frowned
upon.

In my personal space, I block people who are rude to me or act in entitled
way demanding stuff and not being able to step back.

I think you are mixing things together. I think you mean github.com/oerdnj
which is my personal repository and space and I am allowed to block
whoever I want there. You are still allowed to say whatever you want about
me, but I don’t have to listen.

Well, have you ever considered offering a help with these? I never refused
patch on a personal basis - only on technical merits.
