Obviously, I didn't make myself clear enough. This bug report is NOT about
the plugin. Period. It is NOT about what reader I use, either. It is about
the fact that I choose "Open the PDF filetype with reader XY" along with
"use this application for that filetype, without prompting" but still get
prompted every time I want to open a PDF file.

The "entry" I was talking about is the setting "PDF" => "chosen action."
When removing all references to PDF, the entry is re-created (as I chose
that option by saying "use this application for that filetype, without
prompting") but ignored. I still get prompted. And I don't want to be
prompted. And I must not be prompted according to my setting.

Best regards,
André
