thanks for your bug report.

What you are experiencing is awkward, I have never seen anything like
this.

Please let me understand:

 • when did it begin? just after upgrading to apt-listbugs/0.1.32 ?
   or in some other point in time?

 • what happens if you try the following (as root)?

     # rm /var/spool/apt-listbugs/lastprefclean
     # /usr/libexec/apt-listbugs/prefclean

When you say "the program", do you mean "apt-listbugs" or
"/usr/libexec/apt-listbugs/prefclean" ?

I see that AppArmor is enabled, but it is enabled on my system as well,
and I do not experience any DNS issues in running the systemd timer...

Do you happen to have any special AppArmor configuration?
Mine is just the default that comes with current Debian testing.

Do you happen to know whether anything relevant has recently changed in
unstable (but not yet in testing)?

Is there anything else you are aware of, that could help in the
investigation?
