Hello Daniel, Hello Axel, >> _arguments:comparguments:393: too many arguments

Thats true. For 2 or 3 yrs i use debian Zsh with upstream completion funcs from git. Had been working all this time w/o problems through all this time so far. >>> using _arguments from git HEAD with zsh 5.8-4 [...] is not a >>> supported use case. > > Is this something that might affect users when migrating from zsh 5.8 > to a potential 5.9, i.e. something we might need to put into NEWS.Debian? > >> Citation: workers/37986. > > Thanks! (see https://www.zsh.org/cgi-bin/mla/redirect?WORKERNUMBER=37986) > > Ok, this reads more that it is cared about backwards-compatiblity for > 3rd party completion, but not about backwards-compatiblity to older > zsh release for our own completions inside the zsh source, right? The point i took time to write this bugreport is, comparguments seems to be more pigy about the count of arguments then i am. If this changes with rebuild feel free to close this report. I am not a great hacker at all, but this seem fishy at all if that == true. Thank you for maintaing Zsh. kind regards, Thilo
