libpango1.0-0 was already a transitional package, since 2013 (a few days more than 7 years ago). Transitional packages are normally removed in the next stable release after they become transitional, so libpango1.0-0 was already several years overdue for removal. Its removal was requested in #940744 and #948462. If libpango1.0-0 really needs to come back, it should probably be taken over by the pangox-compat source package, so that it "naturally" goes away when libpangox-1.0-0 does.
Hello, thanks for the clarification. Though apt is having trouble to configure these packages - the within delivered binaries seem to work fine. It is probably up to Dropbox and Mojang etc. to alter their deb packages to depend on libpango-1.0-0 instead. For the meantime I will probably hack those packages myself or create a temporary transitional package in order to prevent apt from removing Dropbox every morning when I need to do the daily apt upgrade ;-) . In case some of you have a better work around I'd love to hear it. Additionally I will try to open a ticket at Dropbox and Minecraft support for a tiny change request. Best regards Chris
