Right now, I have a special case in debian/rules for m68k that turns off optimization (specifically, replaces -O2 with -O0 in CFLAGS). Do you think I should leave that hack in or take it out? I'm planning on taking it out, but I would probably put it back if the build fails. I could test it myself, but icu takes a very long time to build on the developer-accessible m68k build system.
