Using multiple orig tarballs is also possible. But as there's no upstream tarball release for these emoji files, tarball should be downloaded manually anyway. IMO it's not very pleasant to maintain extra files in this package when the upstream doesn't want to ship them in UCD.zip anymore. It's decision by the maintainer.
