Hi Mathieu, Thanks for filing the bug. In the past (c.f. #911829), failing on stderr has identified problems in MediaWiki when a new PHP version is released, so I would like to keep the current behavior if possible.
Do you have any ideas or suggestions on other ways we could avoid this problem? Would `sudo ... 2>&1` for all invocations be good enough?
