try to completely poweroff the machine (`reset-all` won't do) and then boot SILO again. Has the problem disappeared? Note this message posted within this bug: Loading initial ramdisk (3514368 bytes at 0x7F802000 phys, 0x40C00000) After a total poweroff, the next SILO boot says Loading initial ramdisk (3514368 bytes at 0xC00000 phys, 0x40C00000) I experienced this too on an Ultra-250 and solved it with the poweroff.
