I've bzip2'ed up the check-bin.tar from the bug report and posted it at: http://www.energoncube.net/ebay/Debian_cpio_bug_358990/G9SAOwe43r_VLWPUhdLiKXR5hu0zxFh1/check-bin.tar.bz2
In case you have difficulty finding a set of test data with which to reproduce the bug, I've also posted a tarball of my /bin directory created with tar, so it extracts properly. That's posted at: http://www.energoncube.net/ebay/Debian_cpio_bug_358990/G9SAOwe43r_VLWPUhdLiKXR5hu0zxFh1/correct-bin.tar.bz2 The idea is you could: mkdir test cd test tar -xvjf ../correct-bin.tar.bz2 find . -true -print | cpio -i -H ustar > ../reproduced-check-bin.tar and the cpio invocation would reproduce exactly my check-bin.tar, under your debugging setup. Hope that helps. -----Carl -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
