Dear Maintainer,

I can confirm this behaviour. Import of PS/EPS/PDF files in scribus
fails with ghostscript errors:

> PostScript import failed when calling gs as:
> -q -dNOPAUSE -dNODISPLAY -dBATCH -dDELAYBIND -g3368x2384 -r288
-dTextAlphaBits=4 -dGraphicsAlphaBits=4 -c 0 0 translate
-sTraceFile=/home/steiny/.scribus//ps.out
-sExportFiles=/home/steiny/flyer /usr/lib/scribus/import.prolog
/home/steiny/file.pdf -c flush cfile closefile quit

I temporarily downgraded ghostscript (and its libs) to
9.06~dfsg-2+deb8u7 (jessie) to be able to import these file types again.

Best
