Upstream is very responsive so I suggest you send a pull request at https://bitbucket.org/eradman/entr/pull-requests/ for the parts that are upstreamable and for the rest a merge request is welcome at https://salsa.debian.org/debian/entr/merge_requests - Otto PS.
