Unfortunately I'm already quite overloaded with work at the moment,
or I would make an attempt at patching them. If you start and
encounter any problems though, please feel free to contact me.

I think the provides won't be necessary. Adding -udeb to the
package name makes sense and IIRC is required because normal packages
and udebs of the same name cannot coexist in the archive.
