Package: axiom-hypertex-data
Version: 20050201-1
Severity: normal

With the axiom-hypertex-{,data} and axiom-graphics-{,data} packages
installed, axiom opens the HyperDoc welcome screen by default.

Selecting first the Reference and then the Search options, one is faced
with a search prompt. Typing something in the search box and clicking on
Search produces no output. An error is displayed in the axiom terminal.
The shell complains about not finding the 'htsearch' executable.

The error can be traced back to the file

  /usr/lib/axiom-20050201/doc/hypertex/pages/man0.ht

where the command 'htsearch' is invoked on lines 12 and 48 without an
explicit preceeding path. The problem is fixed by prefixing the
executable name with an explicit path: '\$SPAD/lib/htsearch'.

After this fix, the search function works, but now the 'hthit'
executable spouts an error to the axiom terminal about "Invalid page
format". I haven't yet been able to trace the source of this problem.

Note that the file

  /usr/lib/axiom-20050201/doc/hypertex/pages/util.ht

defines a macro named '\searchwindow' which seems to be invoking the
htsearch executable correctly. Perhaps the same macro can be invoked in
man0.ht or a new macro can be properly defined in util.ht and then
invoked in man0.ht.
