For completeness sake, here's a fix for the strange behavior after
changing Axiom's man0.ht file. Axiom indexes the hypertex help pages by
character, so after any modification the file

  /usr/lib/axiom-20050201/doc/hypertex/pages/ht.db

must be regenerated. This can be done with the command

  AXIOM=/usr/lib/axiom-20050201 /usr/lib/axiom-20050201/bin/htadd *.ht *.pht

in the same directory as ht.db. The database file is automatically
generated at build time, so if a patch is applied at build time, there
should be no problem. The above fix is only useful for someone patching
a "live" system.
