I should have mentioned my previous test builds were done in Ubuntu
disco-proposed (roughly equivalent to unstable) where the hdf5
transition has just started.
I've just tested building caffe-contrib locally in Ubuntu disco (roughly
equivalent to testing) and it builds fine with no changes required.
