Package: samba-libs Version: 2:4.8.5+dfsg-1 Severity: serious User: debian...@lists.debian.org Usertags: piuparts
Hi, during a test with piuparts I noticed your package fails to upgrade from 'wheezy' to 'jessie' to 'stretch' to 'buster'. Its successor installed fine in 'wheezy', and upgraded to 'jessie' and 'stretch' successfully, but then the upgrade to 'buster' failed, because it tries to overwrite other packages files without declaring a Breaks+Replaces relation. See policy 7.6 at https://www.debian.org/doc/debian-policy/ch-relationships.html#overwriting-files-and-replacing-packages-replaces >From the attached log (scroll to the bottom...): Selecting previously unselected package samba-libs:amd64.
