I'm quite sorry to hear that, this is an unacceptable attitude, and I hope
whoever does that stops or gets helped to stop. Also, such people should get
some basics regarding education.

Yes, I saw that. Your release and changes are quite better than mine.

I'll drop my repo soon, but I'd be happy if you putted yours on salsa, so I
can, if the need arises again, offer you some git-formatted patches and a
pull request directly on salsa (which would clearly avoid some
misunderstandings).
