Package: devscripts Version: 2.9.15 Severity: normal It is sad but true, the locale settings can have an influence on the output of info files due to a bug in makeinfo; see #113988. I stumbled over this when I built emacs-snapshot from source and later wondered why there were bits of German in the Emacs Lisp Manual. Therefore I suggest not to preserve the LANG and LC_* variables by default until #113988 is resolved.
