Package: libayatana-appindicator3-1 Version: 0.5.2-1 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,I upgraded to debian buster and several of my applications no longer show up in the system tray. I am using xfce4. The only package on my system that depends on libayatana-appindicator3-1 is remmina.Applications which do show up in the system tray with libayatana-appindicator3-1 installed:wicd slack alltray running thunderbirdApplications which do not show up in the system tray with libayatana-appindicator3-1 installed:remmina autokey blueman-applet Workaround: I have found that I remove these two libraries before X starts /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libayatana-appindicator3.so.1 /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libayatana-appindicator3.so.1.0.0and then copy them back into place before starting remmina then everything works correctly. If those libraries are in place when X starts then system tray will not work for multiple applications (including remmina). I modified /etc/X11/Xsession to sudo rm those files and then as part of the autostart for remmina I copy the files back. Thanks, David T.
Another question. Does the previous behaviour get re-instated if you remove ayatana-indicator-application from your system?
Our fix will be dropping ayatana-indicator-application from Recommends: of the shared ayatana-appindicator lib(s).
