Package: aspell-pt-pt
Version: 20091013-11
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

The european portuguese dictionary in aspell-pt-pt is outdated.
Latest version can be found at this URL:

http://natura.di.uminho.pt/download/sources/Dictionaries/aspell6/LATEST/aspell6.pt-latest.tar.bz2

This is particularly relevant for the portuguese language because
there is a recent ortographic agreement that changed the spelling
of many words, but of course new words will also have been added.

In addition, the links for both the software home page and the Debian
watch file are broken (there is a warning in the Developer Information
page about the latter).

I've noticed there is a different version of this package in testing and
unstable, but as far as I could see, it just touched Debian information
and not the dictionary.

Another thing to consider is that the package source is myspell.pt , but
the upstream distributors don't even have myspell on their page anymore,
only aspell (along with many others not on this package, like hunspell).

(by the way, this URL would be a reasonable "Home Page" for the package)

Best regards,
Paulo Almeida
