The printrc file stores the printer list, and it's this that's
damaged.  I think the easiest solution is to set up new printers using
the Print dialogue.

If you could mail me the broken printrc, I'll take a look at it; it
shouldn't cause a crash.  Could you also tell me what the output of
the "locale" command is?
