Yep! now it works with the new format only. Weird, though. So the problem was that my system was unable to read an old file format while yours was able to... are you sure we have the same version of gutenprint? One last question: as it seems that it is a static file, gutenprint will not be aware if any printer is removed or added by the CUPS daemon, right? Is there any way to "refresh" the list of printers?
