Hi, I'm just helping a bit, no takeover :-) Re: 884060 it is quite skint on details, and yes I'm not really convinced that small changes to tc and an iptables header can break wifi. The reporter mentions using out-of-tree drivers via DKMS, if I had to take a wild uneducated guess I'd say the new kernel in the point release changed some in-kernel ABI that the dkms module uses and it needs a rebuild.
