Package: lintian Severity: wishlist It would be great if lintian could detect inconsistencies between Files-Excluded in debian/copyright and the files in the upstream tarball. The files in the tarball should never match the patterns listed in the Files-Excluded field because uscan should have removed them when repacking the tarball. If there are files that match, then this is a sign that the maintainer didn't do the required repacking, possibly because they used a very old uscan or didn't use uscan at all.
