Debian Release: testing/unstable
Architecture: i386 (i686)
Package: cacti
Version: 0.8.6h-2

Hello,

Sorry for my english, I hope I'll be clear enough. Sorry too if I don't
give enough information, I'm a newbie in bug report ;)

I've been playing with cacti and etch for a few hours, and I can say
that this bug is Debian related. I can also say that it's probably not
related to the DB itself. And I'd say also that other fields have the
same problem (like the graph size for example).

Here's what I've done :

- apt-get install cacti and everything needed. It's working fine, no
problem. Then I tried to create a new graph template : it's working but
I couldn't edit it after. The I tried to edit one of the original graph
template : the first edit looks Ok but nothing is saved, instead a new
incomplete graph template is created.

- then I erased all the DB, just to be sure, and I imported the
cacti.sql file from the tar.gz. The behaviour is the same, graph
templates are not working ...

- I tried to bypass /etc/cacti/apache.conf : same behaviour.

- then I erased the DB again and I uncompress the whole .tar.gz from
cacti.net, nothing else is changed (cacti-deb not even de-installed) and
the graph templates are working again !

Very weird ...

I have asked here http://forums.cacti.net/viewtopic.php?t=11922 but with
no answer (for now).

The problem seems to be that the form lack some hidden fields :
<input type='hidden' name='graph_template_id' value='0'>
is in the html source, while '0' should be the real value. Sorry I don't
know why it happens ...
