We've run into corruption at the end of long files in the image builder at Endless OS, causing signature verification failures in our installer. After some digging, it seems that this issue has been found and fixed in RH some time ago: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1141206 So there is a patch available upstream: https://github.com/plougher/squashfs-tools/commit/9c1db6d13a51a2e009f0027ef336ce03624eac0d I'm going to apply it here and see if it helps, would be great to see it in Debian.
