Dear Maintainer, (you might know that already:) in the last months there have been released several minor but very useful fixes to various MATE 1.16 components, for example mate-caja or mate-control-center. debian stretch mostly seems to use the outdated 1.16.0 releases. Please see this list for the most recent releases: http://pub.mate-desktop.org/releases/1.16/ This is more or less the question if there is any chance these get into stretch at any point or if I'll have to try to get the fixed packages installed by other means.
