Hm.. I tried to see what find does. Seems like the issue has nothing to do with 
Debian.
It was a side effect of some non-free software I did install manually in the 
past. I
uninstalled the same just after a few seconds. Probably I will have to format 
my entire
system to be safe. Interestingly, once I do a manual 'find -L ...', sudo fsck 
/dev/sda<tab><tab>
works just normal. All those symlinks are gone.

This bug report may be closed. I shall re-open if it exists after a fresh 
install (someday).
