Hello,
I have a jessie server using kernel version 4.8.0-0.bpo.2-amd64 from
jessie-backports. I am receiving the same error present in bug #829634.

Will suspend it for 120.000 seconds.
The changelog entry which resolves the previous ticket states:
* Rebuild with linux-libc-dev >= 4.6 (now in testing and unstable) to
accommodate a change to rtnl_link_stats64. Thanks to Gábor Gombás for
reporting this (Closes: #829634).
I believe collectd in jessie-backports should also be rebuilt with
linux-libc-dev >= 4.6 to remain in sync with the latest backports kernels.
