Package: sync-ui Version: 1.5.2-1 Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
* What led up to the situation? Attempted to download contacts from a phone (Android 6, Samsung A310F). Installed the best tool for that I could find in apt-cache search... Before, paired the device with blueman and it seems to be registered normally. * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)? Started sync-ui. Nothing is useful is displayed in the main area. No idea how to continue. The only promising button is "Change or edit sync service". * What was the outcome of this action? Pushing this button shows another stupid error message: "Failed to get list of supported services from SyncEvolution" * What outcome did you expect instead? Any useful information on how to continue from here. I have no clue how to get this SyncEvolution running. I though it might be needed as a background service but then, why does your UI not start it automatically? I tried to run syncevolution manually but it's not clear how to configure it for bluetooth; the manpage is overcomplicated, it apparently wants some config file, and there is no clue where to get a SIMPLE EXAMPLE FOR A SIMPLE DATA EXCHANGE WITH A SIMPLE PHONE. -- System Information: Debian Release: stretch/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 4.9.010.meins-1+ (SMP w/2 CPU cores; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages sync-ui depends on: ii libc6 2.24-8 ii libcairo2 1.14.8-1 ii libdbus-glib-1-2 0.108-1 ii libgdk-pixbuf2.0-0 2.36.2-1 ii libglib2.0-0 2.50.2-2 ii libgtk2.0-0 2.24.31-1 ii libpango-1.0-0 1.40.3-3 ii libsyncevo-dbus0 1.5.2-1 ii syncevolution-common 1.5.2-1 ii syncevolution-dbus 1.5.2-1 Versions of packages sync-ui recommends: ii bluez 5.43-1 sync-ui suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
