Thanks for looking at my bug report. I will plan to install the debug symbols for that package, but the disk is quite large (128GB microSD) so I may try to reproduce on a smaller one. The problem seemed related to files having non-ASCII characters in them that may not have been encoded properly for some reason. However, I don't know why that would prevent fsck from being able to repair it.
