You're right. In fact the build problem I found out was with libssl-dev indeed, because I did not check the the B-D and unfortunately the NMU was not added to collab-maint as it should have…
Don't know if the new upstream release fixes this, but I assume Kurt and the OpenSSL team will be more than happy if this is the case and the Build-Depends can be switched back to libssl-dev in that course.
