Package: module-assistant Version: 0.7.3 Severity: wishlist
Damn lammer o me... I find hard to look after the build logs. Could m-a include a way to view the build log between build and install ? the nvidia drivers build but they have a lot of compile errors (some pretty nasty, invalid pointers and the like). Currently we have to close m-a to reach the logs before installing (that s pretty scary , isn't it ) However that tell something about m-a current ease of use, as that is my biggest problem with it. The second being that it builds the debs under the linux directory. In my case /usr/src/linux->/home/..../Projets/Admin/OS/Kernel_2.6/ so the debs end there ... and while trying to install m-a does not find the modules it just build. But m-a -k /..../Kernel_2.6 work around this . As i don't know yet if such a setup is suppose to work without -k , i will look after the code before posting another wishlist (or patch ... if i manage to finish the other bugs pending ones).
