I would like to request the removal of the pyfftw source package from the Debian archive. This source package currently suffers from a non-trivial RC bug [1]. This bug also highlighted the non-portable nature of the software. Upstream has been notified [2] but the conversation and lack of actions taken since are a sign that this issue will not be fixed anytime soon. There are currently no rdepends on pyfftw and its only soft dependency used to be pyoperators, which has been removed since. I believe the package should be safe to remove.
