The very same bug prevents package release 1.2-2 to enter Ubuntu's development branch. I have now pushed to the Git package repository what hopefully should delimit the problem, making the type conversion explicit. This change causes no build problem in our unstable branch, but I have to figure out how to initiate a build also on the experimental branch, which I did not manage in the first few tries.
