Given btrfs is linux specific, how about a systemd unit & timer unit
to do the scrub? disabled by default, but then one would be able to
run scrub out of the box with e.g.:

$ systemct start btrfs-scrub.service

or regularly with

$ systemctl enable --now btrfs-scrub.timer

Would that be good enough?
