Package: btrfs-progs Version: 4.5.2-1 Severity: wishlist Dear Maintainer,
It is generally advised to periodically scrub the btrfs filesystems. Doing so once per month is best. However there is no official sample cron job to do this. I've personally been using following btrfs-scrub for last 1.5y+ from: http://marc.merlins.org/perso/btrfs/post_2014-03-19_Btrfs-Tips_-Btrfs-Scrub-and-Btrfs-Filesystem-Repair.html It would be nice if btrfs-progs would provide such sample job. -- System Information: Debian Release: stretch/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (990, 'unstable'), (500, 'unstable-debug'), (1, 'experimental-debug'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 4.5.0-2-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages btrfs-progs depends on: ii e2fslibs 1.43.1-1 ii libblkid1 2.28-5 ii libc6 2.22-11 ii libcomerr2 1.43.1-1 ii liblzo2-2 2.08-1.2 ii libuuid1 2.28-5 ii zlib1g 1:1.2.8.dfsg-2+b1 btrfs-progs recommends no packages. btrfs-progs suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
