+++ Debian Bug Tracking System [2015-10-04 01:30 +0000]:

I thought about this a bit more and got some input from Helmut Grohne.

There are two issues:

1) What is the API of 'c-compiler' - i.e what does
the dependency actually supply. Not sure anyone really knows the answer to this

2) What is the architecture relationship of the dependency? It seems
to me that it implies a relationship on the target arch, e.g ksplice
wants 'gcc | c-compiler' in order to build some code for the current
arch. sdcc is not going to be useful for that as it does not support
normal debian arches as targets.

So on this basis, sdcc shouldn't provide: c-compiler. and neither
should the cross-compilers).

Anyone think that that is wrong?
