Yes, the API changed and I already prepared 0.2.4 (which is in mentors) but want to held the actual release to unstable because we plan today to release new version of pafy and soon after new version of mpsyt will come which solves some bugs already reported and fixed upstream. Also mpsyt will now be python3 only probably the same I will do for pafy - so after completing all that I can prepare proper backports to Jessie.
