Thanks for reporting issues to the BTS.

But other than the fact some people under some environment hits this
problem, I do not know what to do with this info.  (I am happy using
getmail.)

I think identifying what IMAP/POP server you accessed and what message
produces a reproduceble case should make this report a useful one.

Please send that to BTS.  (in tar.gz etc.)

Your may ge more lucky by contacting upstream with the info I thought
useful as above.
