Package: strace Version: 4.10-1 Severity: wishlist Hi maintainer,
I'd like to request that you build strace with the --with-libunwind compiler flag, and build-dep on libunwind8-dev. This will add the `-k` option to strace, which will print libunwind-based backtraces on every system call, which is pretty nifty.
Right now the best way to do this (I think) is to use gdb to stop on every syscall, which doesn't offer the syscall-decode capabilities of strace.
I don't think that Debian's strace package is used in any context where the libunwind runtime dependency would be annoying, though I might be wrong about that.
