I cannot use screen on my system. When I run it, all it does is clearing the terminal and then printing [screen is terminating] at which point I am back in the plain terminal. No other error message is printed. Running it as root (with "sudo") works fine. I tried using a SCREENDIR in my $HOME, but nothing changed. This is running Wheezy in a sharehoster VM: $ uname -a Linux [...] 2.6.32-042stab092.3 #1 SMP Sun Jul 20 13:27:24 MSK 2014 i686 GNU/Linux I believe they use OpenVZ virtualization.
