No problem, feel free to take the time you need to perform other
tests!

When you do so, please consider using the debug option of apt-listbugs
in order to check whether it is at least trying to pass through the
right proxy.

For instance, if you run the following command (no root privileges
needed, even a regular user can perform this test):

  $ apt-listbugs -d list apt-listbugs

you should find the proxy it connects to within the verbose debug
output...
In case of doubts, please do not hesitate to send its output to me and
ask!
