I take some time to fill that bug report since I expect many of us to install that package as a Nautilus' replacement. In dual pane mode, the background of the 'unselected' pane is set to 'selected-bg' as defined in the Gtkrc file. However, the Adwaita theme provides a deep-blue color making the overall rendering rather strange. Moreover, if the detail-list view is selected, the background is inconsistent within a given pane (i.e. between the list and the empty part of the pane).
