Thank you for bringing up this issue. What forces Smuxi to use IPv4 when doing DNS resolution is the default configuration of Mono('s DNS resolver) which suppresses AAAA lookups/records. I have changed my mono config locally years ago: grep ipv6 /etc/mono/4.5/machine.config <ipv6 enabled="true"/> As IPv6 was a release goal long time ago I wonder if this warrants a fix in Mono with a unblock request for jessie? -- Best regards, Mirco 'meebey' Bauer FOSS Developer mee...@meebey.net https://www.meebey.net/ Debian Developer mee...@debian.org http://www.debian.org/ GNOME Foundation Member mmmba...@gnome.org http://www.gnome.org/ PGP-Key ID 0xEEF946C8 https://meebey.net/pubkey.asc -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
