Package: smuxi-engine Version: 0.11~rc5-2 Severity: minor Tags: ipv6 There is some odd resolving thing going on with smuxi and IPv6. I have tried with both OFTC and Freenode and it always connects using IPv6, even with using the chat or irc.ipv6 aliases.
If I use telnet, IPv6 is used: telnet irc.freenode.net 6667 Trying 2001:6b0:e:2a18:5054:ff:fe01:8119... Connected to chat.freenode.net. If I use the actual IPv6 address in smuxi, that also works: 16:16 -!- Connecting to 2001:6b0:e:2a18:5054:ff:fe01:8119 port 6667... 16:16 -!- Connection to 2001:6b0:e:2a18:5054:ff:fe01:8119 established 16:16 -!- Logging in... 16:16 !leguin.freenode.net *** Looking up your hostname... So the client can connect using IPv6, the resolver will resolve using IPv6 first, but... something in the middle is coming unstuck. My guess is the wrong (or possibly correct for some other reason) flags are being applied to getaddrinfo() calls. - Craig -- System Information: Debian Release: jessie/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 3.16.0-4-amd64 (SMP w/6 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_AU.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_AU.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages smuxi-engine depends on: ii liblog4net1.2-cil 1.2.10+dfsg-6 ii libmono-corlib4.5-cil 3.2.8+dfsg-8 ii libmono-posix4.0-cil 3.2.8+dfsg-8 ii libmono-system-core4.0-cil 3.2.8+dfsg-8 ii libmono-system-data-linq4.0-cil 3.2.8+dfsg-8 ii libmono-system-data4.0-cil 3.2.8+dfsg-8 ii libmono-system-drawing4.0-cil 3.2.8+dfsg-8 ii libmono-system-runtime-serialization4.0-cil 3.2.8+dfsg-8 ii libmono-system-runtime4.0-cil 3.2.8+dfsg-8 ii libmono-system-web4.0-cil 3.2.8+dfsg-8 ii libmono-system-xml-linq4.0-cil 3.2.8+dfsg-8 ii libmono-system-xml4.0-cil 3.2.8+dfsg-8 ii libmono-system4.0-cil 3.2.8+dfsg-8 ii libnini1.1-cil 1.1.0+dfsg.2-4 ii mono-runtime 3.2.8+dfsg-8 smuxi-engine recommends no packages.
