Maybe I was not clear this is about the future, not about the past. So I would like to have a year time to change from Wheezy to Jessie.
I'v made this bug for Iceweasel and Chromium too. This are the 3 programms what give problems while using Debian on the desktop. I realize that Icedove depends on other programs. I would like it when the maintainer would warn when he/she expects a problem. E.g. because of a newer compiler what's needed. Then other people could work on backporting a newer compiler.
